What is the process in which your building is cleaned? Team Cleaning is becoming more and more popular in the industry today. In Team Cleaning, a worker is given a specialty instead of an entire area to clean. For example, if there are four floors to clean in a building, a worker would be assigned a task to complete on each floor and not an entire floor to clean by themselves. Specialty examples include utility, light-duty, vacuum, and restroom to name a few.
This method has been shown to improve the time it takes to clean a building. Not only that, but it ensures cleaning consistency in all areas. Once tasks are assigned, the time it takes per task to be completed can be estimated. Once a standard timeframe is established, a job card can be created for the position so that any worker can come in and complete the work and know exactly what they are supposed to do and how long it should take them.
If your building is not taking advantage of this cleaning approach, it is definitely something to look into to improve efficiency.
